Welcome to The Chemistry of Beer

It’s a busy summer in Chem of Beerville. I finished five weeks of teaching general chemistry and now I’m working mostly on beer-related projects. Right now the priority is to work with Joe, my artist, to get this site up and running. Once we have a basic framework, we’ll start filling in more technical details.
There is a meeting in August in Grand Rapids; I’m presiding over a session on Chemistry of Fermented Beverages. This has led to a book project with the American Chemical Society Book Division.
