Packaging

Before the beer is bottled or kegged, it is clarified and carbonated. The filling process must exclude microbes and air. In some breweries, the beer is heated (pasteurized) to kill microbes before or after filling. Cans come already decorated. Bottles must have labels attached with adhesive. The packing process is not finished until the cans or bottles are put into cases and the sealed cases stacked on skids and wrapped for shipment.
